Norpol Packaging offers a contract cutting service to different industries in addition to the packaging trade. We have nine swing beam cutting presses at our production facility in Louth, Lincolnshire. We offer a contract cutting service for lots of different types of products.

What is a swing beam Cutting Press or Clicker Press
A swing beam cutting press, also known as a swing arm or clicker press, is a hydraulic die-cutting machine used to stamp out shapes from soft to semi-rigid sheet materials. The "swing beam" or "swing arm" refers to the pivoting cutting head that our operators can move aside to easily load material and then also to retrieve cut pieces and components.
This type of cutting press is popular in manufacturing for small to medium volume production, because of its simple, reliable operation and versatility.
The clicker press, also known as a die-cutting or cutting press, is a machine that uses a steel die that sits on the lower cutting plate surface. Then the swing arm delivers high pressure hydraulic force to cut shapes from materials quickly and consistently.
These presses are essential for achieving precise, repetitive, and uniform results; ideal for industries such as packaging, print finishing, medical products, automotive products, textiles, plastics, gaskets, leathercraft, foam, rubber, and self-adhesive materials.
Our Contract Cutting Service
We know that not all businesses have the space or budget to invest in their own cutting press. Norpol Packaging therefore offer a fast efficient cutting service to benefit our clients. This service allows you to trial products or simply outsource the press cutting part of your production. We have 9 cutting presses available, with a maximum cutting area of 900mm x 900mm (34.4” x 34.4”).
Trial and bulk orders can be turned around quickly. A customer wishing to use the press cutting service simply needs to provide the material to be cut, and a pattern. We will then create the press knives or die cutting board and do all your cutting. If you already have your own press knives or cutting board, we will happily utilise those.
If required a sample can be produced to prove the high quality of the work prior to the full cutting service commences.
