What are Wicketed Bags?
Wicketed bags are designed to be used where there is a need for fast packing on wicket bagger machines, or where there is a need to easily dispense from a pack of bags hung from a wall, a packing station, or from a packers belt.
The wire wickets pass through the pile of bags, holding the pack together. Plastic grommets stop the bags from sliding off the wickets. The bags are manufactured with a top flap, where the wicket holes are punched through.
When you pull the bags off the wicket wires, the flap will remain intact on the bag, but the wicket holes tear easily to aid removal, unless you opt for a tear line perf in between the bag and the lip, which will create a clean finish on the top of the bags.
These bags are commonly used in bakeries, greengrocers or in high-speed food preparation and packing environments. But they can also be found anywhere that quick product packaging is important.
